I took up photography somewhere in 2011 because, well, school and my mother made me (thanks, Mom). Interestingly, what began as an academic requirement, soon turned into a passion. I've been self-taught ever since — wandering, experimenting, chasing light, and landing up in places I'd never have dreamt of finding myself in. All for the shot!
Since I'm not much of a talker, this is how I express myself — through frames, not phrases. Photo se, hoton se nahi. Sorry. Not sorry.
These last 15 odd years have taught me that 80% of photography is just about showing up. The balance 20% is where your perspective, POV and technical skills come in. Simply put, if you're not there, the shot doesn't exist.
Photography has pushed me to move, to travel, to observe & notice, and above all, to get out of my comfort zone. That's where the magic happens.
